Great Day to Be Alive

Yesterday the weather was perfect, so we decided to take a hike.  I’m not normally one to brave the great outdoors, but our time in Nashville is coming to an end soon so I thought I’d take a risk.  We drove about 30 minutes to a state park and went exploring.  The water was beautiful!  Dakota would have loved it, too bad he’s on vacation at The Grove.  It was nice to be outdoors since it has been frigidly cold here lately.  An hour and a half later, we decided we had had enough trails and trees so we headed back home.  It’s not like we were climbing up mountains or anything, but I’d say I got my fill of nature for a while.  Afterwards, we ate at a true bar-b-que joint, which is also a car repair shop in the back.  Old men picking on their banjos and singing the country blues accompanied us.  Now how’s that for a day in Tennessee!
