Chocolate Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

February 20th, 2009 by Heather

E is back in Selma trying to find us a good home, Dakota is still hanging out at the Grove, and I am sitting at home stuffing my mouth with some yummy chocolate.  I get so excited over it and I can’t control myself.  I just dropped some crumbs in my keyboard and tried to lick them out.  Wow.  But I only like the dark, rich, European kind.  You know, the kind that you can’t by in the check out line at the grocery store.  The kind that you can only find at specialty organic stores.  The kind that makes you travel out of your way from work, only to make you late from your lunch break.

But it’s the weekend, right?  And I worked hard today.  Oh E, come home soon!

Since my husband’s brother’s wife (sister-in-law?) is from Germany, I have gotten to taste some fabulous chocolate from over there.  One of my favorite places to go in Koln is the chocolate factory.  Why is theirs so much better than ours?  Here is an amazing German website that I found where you can order little bundles of goodness.

Have you been to the Cocoa Tree downtown yet? (http://www.thecocoatree.com/)

You probably don’t need anything else to miss about Nashville…

..but…Apparently they have some unbelievably good chocolate.

Of course I have! They do have some amazing truffles. I also went to a chocolate tasting there when they were located in Franklin.
